Throughout the year, we organise various events to showcase the talent and progress of our boxers. One such event was “The National Novice Final,” where our very own John Dove emerged as the champion under unanimous discussion. His hard work and dedication were recognised and celebrated by all.
Another notable event was our home show, where we hosted an amazing night of boxing. We were thrilled to see exceptional performances from all the participants, and we extend our gratitude to the clubs that took part in making the event a success.
We are also delighted to announce that Boxing Stables ABC is now affiliated with England Boxing, a significant achievement for our club. With over 40 boxers raring to go, we are excited for the new season and the opportunities it brings.
Training at Boxing Stables Gym is offered on specific days and times. On Mondays, we have sessions for children aged 5 to 10 years from 5-6 pm, followed by sessions for ages 11 and above from 6-8 pm. Wednesdays are dedicated to carded boxers only, with a session from 6-7 pm. Thursdays mirror the schedule on Mondays, with sessions for children from 5-6 pm and for ages 11 and above from 6-8 pm.
As part of our community engagement and to raise funds for the club's development, Boxing Stables ABC organises events like the Christmas Skipathon. Each boxer completes 510 skips, representing the 510,000,000 km that Santa travels on Christmas Eve. The funds raised from this event go towards the purchase of new equipment, kits, and the general upkeep of our amateur boxing club.
To wrap up the year on a high note, we invite all boxing enthusiasts to join us for our Xmas Eve Workout. Taught by our professional trainer John Cole, this session is open to all levels and ages. Come and sweat it out with us and end the year on a healthy and empowering note.
