Welcome to Bradenham & Mattishall Football Club! Located in Bradenham, Norfolk, the club has a history dating back to the late 1970s. In 1978/79, they won the 4th Division of the Anglian Combination, marking their first major achievement.
Over the years, the first team and reserves have both enjoyed success. The first team were runners-up in the Cyril Ballyn Cup in 1980/81 and won the Mummery Cup in 1988/89 and 1989/90. The reserves clinched Reserve Division 3 in 1980/81 and Reserve Division 2 in 1981/82.
The club faced tough times, struggling to field a team in the mid-1990s. A turning point came when they acquired a new ground on Hale Road, sparking a commitment to improvement. Efforts to upgrade facilities paid off, with the first team winning Division 4 in 2007/08 and earning promotion, followed by another promotion after finishing third in Division 3 the next season.
In recent years, Bradenham & Mattishall FC have achieved notable successes. The first team won the league title and moved up to the top League in 2016/17. The reserves won their league and moved up to Division 3 in 2017/18. The U18 team reached the Kappa Cup final in their first season and won it the next year on penalties.
An exciting change occurred in June 2023, when Bradenham FC merged with Mattishall FC, founded in 1919. Mattishall FC had its own achievements, including winning the Norfolk Senior Cup in 2010 and the Mummery Cup in 2014. This merger aims to strengthen football in the local community.
Bradenham & Mattishall FC is affiliated with the Norfolk County FA and the Anglian Combination league, promoting fair play, respect, and integrity. Players, supporters, and volunteers who share a passion for football are always welcome.
