They are always open to new members joining the committee and contributing to the club's success. The club has a rich history, with its first documented matches dating back to 1797. The Morant family, who owned the Brockenhurst Park Estate, played a significant role in the early years of the club.
Throughout the years, the club has seen numerous achievements, including a trophy-winning season in 1935. The club's groundsman, Jack Hull, dedicated 50 years to the club and passed on his responsibilities to his son Geoff. In recent years, the club has experienced significant growth and now boasts a thriving community of children and adults playing cricket. With a strong presence in the local New Forest Junior Cricket League.
The club caters to players of all ages and levels of experience. The senior teams compete in matches on Saturdays from May to August, with the 2nd XI recently moving up a league to join the 1st XI, promising an exciting and competitive season. The Friendly XI engages in matches against touring sides on midweek afternoons. The youth teams cater to various age groups, ranging from U9's to U15's, with a dedicated Girls Only U11's team.
The club also operates a Women's W10 Social softball cricket team, providing a fun and enjoyable way to meet new people and stay active. Additionally, the club runs All Stars and Dynamos programmes for children aged 5-11, providing an eight-week period of cricket coaching and fun activities. Brockenhurst Cricket Club prides itself on being accessible to everyone in the community. Whether you wish to watch your children play, take part in cricket yourself, or join as a social member to support the teams, there is a place for everyone at the club.
