Bromleians FC has a rich history that dates back 100 years. Its origins are closely tied to Bromley County School, which was established in 1911. In 1922, former pupils of the school came together to form what is now known as Old Bromleians Football Club. Initially known as Bromley County School Old Boys, the club adopted the name Old Bromleians Football Club in the 1927/1928 season, taking inspiration from the school magazine, The Bromleian.
The club has maintained its Old Boys status, with former attendees of Bromley County School being integral members.
Throughout its history, Old Bromleians Football Club has had a strong connexion with the school. The Headmasters of the school, G L Heawood and L J Cheney, served as presidents of the club from 1929 to 1960. The club played its early matches at various pitches, including ones near the Crooked Billet and South Hill Road. By the late 1920s, the club settled at a ground in Crown Lane before later moving to a facility on Southborough Lane, which witnessed some of the club's most successful periods.
