Bude Bowling Club, Cornwall

Richard March just wanted to drop everyone a quick note about the Bude Bowling Club in Cornwall. This year, they’re celebrating their centenary – 100 years of bowling since 1923!

For those who haven’t visited yet, the club is right in the heart of Bude, hidden away in a lovely spot. The clubhouse comes with its own 'Nanny Moors Bar', perfect for a chat and a drink after a game.

Richard’s got teams in both ladies' and men’s leagues, and many members take part in county and national competitions. There are afternoon and evening club sessions throughout the summer, so plenty of chances to get on the green.

Winter doesn’t slow things down either. They’ve got short mat bowls inside the clubhouse, house competitions, social events, and regular coffee mornings to keep everyone active and connected year-round.

If you’re new to bowls, no worries. Richard has a coaching programme run by a fully qualified coach, and the club can even lend you some kit to get you started.

So, whether you’ve thought about trying bowling or never considered it before, why not give it a go? The club is full of friendly people and could be a great place to meet new friends and feel part of the local community.
