Bunbury Skateboard Parkour Park

Bunbury Skateboard Parkour Park, known as Koolambidi Woola, is Bunbury's first-ever youth precinct and a vibrant hub for young people aged 12 to 25. Located at Luciana Park, this state-of-the-art facility offers a range of exciting activities and amenities, all designed to celebrate and engage with the local youth community.

Designed by renowned skate park designers Playce and built by Advanteering Civil Engineers, Koolambidi Woola features a multi-sports court, parkour areas, mini golf, a youth services building, beach climbing net, and an event and performance space. It is a place where young people can come together, explore their interests, and build new connexions.

The name Koolambidi Woola was chosen through extensive consultation with the community, including local Wardandi Noongar Elders. It reflects the essence of the facility, translating to “celebrating young people” in the local language. The City of Bunbury worked closely with key stakeholders, ensuring cultural appropriateness and significance.

In addition to providing recreational opportunities, Koolambidi Woola also houses a purpose-built youth services building operated by Anglicare WA. This team offers a youth engagement programme every Monday and Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm, providing a safe and supportive environment for young people facing hardship or mental health issues. The programme aims to increase activation of Koolambidi Woola, enhance the perception of young people's access to support, and raise awareness of the available services.

Koolambidi Woola has been made possible through the generous support of major partner Lotterywest, as well as grants from the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications – Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Programme, and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. The involvement of local business Geographe Civil, alongside the wider community's input, has been instrumental in bringing this unique youth precinct to life.

As Bunbury's premier skateboard parkour park, Koolambidi Woola offers an inclusive space for young people to foster connexions, pursue their passions, and celebrate their youth. Whether they are skateboarding, playing parkour, honing their mini golf skills, or seeking support at the youth services building, Koolambidi Woola is at the forefront of empowering and enriching the lives of Bunbury's youth.
