Burlington Able Sail is dedicated to providing individuals with disabilities the opportunity to experience the freedom and joy of sailing. Through our adapted boats, experienced instructors, and supportive community, we aim to make sailing accessible to everyone regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities. Our program not only enhances the quality of life for participants but also fosters integration and inclusivity within the sailing community.
Whether you are a seasoned sailor looking to advance your skills or a beginner eager to try something new, Burlington Able Sail welcomes individuals of all ages and abilities. Our summer sailing season runs from June to August, with sessions available Monday through Friday. The first trial session is free, with a season fee of $220 for each sailor.
We rely on the support of dedicated volunteers to facilitate our programs and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. Whether you have experience in sailing or are new to the sport, there are various roles available for volunteers to help with client support, safety, instruction, and more.
To ensure the sustainability of our program, we greatly appreciate donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations. Financial contributions help cover the costs of equipment, maintenance, and program operations, allowing us to continue offering sailing opportunities to individuals with disabilities.
