Burnside Squash Club

Located at Burnside Park on Avonhead Road, Burnside Squash Club is a key gathering spot for squash lovers in Christchurch. Lawrence, our dedicated organiser, ensures that the club caters to everyone, from absolute beginners to competitive players, and those who just enjoy a social game.

The club offers weekly sessions, including a club night and training led by an award-winning coach. It's a great way to sharpen your skills, socialise, and meet other squash fans.

The facilities are top-notch. You'll find four glass-backed courts, newly renovated changing rooms, a fully stocked bar, and a pro shop for all your squash gear.

Club nights happen every Thursday from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. It's a fantastic way for members to connect, enjoy some friendly competition, and bond over a shared love of the game. For the younger players, junior club nights are every Friday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm—except during school holidays.

Visitors are always welcome to club nights for a small fee of $5, giving potential members a taste of the club's vibrant atmosphere.

The club offers a variety of memberships to fit different needs. Prices range from $170 for juniors to $835 for a family membership. There are options for those looking to compete in interclub and tournaments, with more information on memberships available at burnsidesquash.com. Monthly payment plans and a one-time key charge of $20 apply.

For competitive play, an additional $65 fee and an iSquash account, which you can set up at squash.org.nz, are required.
