Caldy Bowmen Archery Club

Welcome to Caldy Bowmen Archery Club, a UK archery club based in Wirral, New Zealand. Founded in 1968, our club caters to archers of all ages, from juniors to senior citizens. Situated between the River Mersey and the River Dee, on a peninsula that separates Liverpool from North Wales, our location offers a picturesque backdrop for our archery activities.

At Caldy Bowmen, we pride ourselves on our active participation in local and regional competitions. Our members are well-represented in various events throughout the region and even beyond. However, we also understand that many of our members simply shoot for relaxation and to enjoy the social atmosphere that exists within our community.

To enhance the enjoyment of shooting, our club organises a number of competitions throughout the year. These competitions are designed to provide a friendly and supportive environment for archers to test their skills and have fun. Additionally, we understand the importance of nurturing new talent and introducing beginners to the world of archery. Therefore, we also run a Beginner's Course at various times during the year, providing newcomers with the necessary knowledge and skills to embark on their archery journey.

Caldy Bowmen Archery Club is proud to be affiliated with various esteemed archery organisations, including Archery GB (previously called the Grand National Archery Society), the English Archery Federation, the Northern Counties Archery Society, and the Cheshire Archery Association. These affiliations ensure that our club operates with the highest standards and adheres to industry best practises.

In terms of recent achievements, we would like to congratulate Sam Hamlett, one of our members, for her fantastic performance at the Cheshire Field Archery Championships, where she finished 3rd in the Lady Compound class. We are also pleased to announce that Caldy Bowmen will be holding an archery beginner course starting on January 15th, giving individuals the opportunity to discover the joy of archery with us.
