The Callanan Academy of Dance, founded by Moira Callanan, is proud to offer Irish dancing classes in Sydney. Moira, with her 20 years of national and international competition experience, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the school. Since its establishment in 2015, the academy has been providing children and adults alike with the opportunity to learn and excel in Irish dancing.

Our classes are suitable for beginners all the way to championship level dancers. We offer both solo and ceili classes, allowing students to explore traditional dances in both a solo and group setting. Additionally, we have specific classes tailored for adult beginners, ensuring that anyone with a passion for Irish dancing can join in and learn.

Throughout the year, our students have the chance to compete in various competitions, including State and National Championships. We believe that participating in competitions not only helps to improve dancing skills but also fosters a sense of discipline and determination in our dancers. In addition to competitions, there are numerous performance opportunities available, allowing students to showcase their progress and talents on stage.

The Callanan Academy of Dance operates at multiple locations in Sydney, offering a flexible timetable to accommodate different schedules. Our highly experienced instructors provide children's classes for ages 3-13 and adult classes for dancers of all levels. Private lessons are also available by appointment for those who prefer one-on-one instruction.
