Looking to up your sailing game? John Starkie, with his extensive RNR experience, runs the Cambridge School of Navigation right here in Cambridge, UK. Whether you're new to sailing or looking to deepen your expertise, John’s got you covered.
You can start with the basics through the RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship course (16 hours for £100 per person) or take it up a notch with the RYA Day Skipper Theory course (40 hours for £450 per person). For those aiming even higher, there's the RYA Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Theory course (40 hours for £500 per person).
Prefer hands-on learning? John offers practical courses for boat handling covering everything from ropes and mooring to safety. Bring your own boat and get personalised instruction at £20 per hour (minimum 2 hours).
Bad weather? No worries. Just a minimum of 1 hour attendance and travel will be required if conditions aren't great.
If you’re into remote learning, John also provides telephone mentoring and online courses for just £10 per hour.
