Camperdown Tennis

Camperdown Tennis is a multi-sport and recreation centre located in Camperdown Park, nestled alongside Camperdown Oval and Camperdown Commons. Situated at 33 Mallet Street, Camperdown, this centre began in 2017 through a private-public partnership with Inner West Council. Since then, Camperdown Tennis has become a thriving hub for physical recreation and mental well-being within the local community.

With a strong focus on providing a variety of sporting activities, Camperdown Tennis offers court hire for tennis, futsal, and hockey. The centre also provides tennis coaching through both group classes and private lessons, catering to players of all ages and skill levels. For adults, there are futsal and multi-sport competitions, as well as outdoor fitness programmes available.

In addition to the regular activities, Camperdown Tennis offers a school holiday programme specifically designed for primary school kids. Moreover, the centre has expanded its reach by delivering in-school tennis classes to primary and high schools in the area.

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving our facilities, Camperdown Tennis has recently refurbished its court surfaces along with some of its facilities. State-of-the-art LED lighting and high-quality Australian-made synthetic grass surfacing now enhance the overall experience. The centre is also wheelchair accessible, ensuring inclusivity for all visitors. Additionally, Camperdown Tennis provides a sun-safe sanctuary for players seeking respite from the heat.

Furthermore, Camperdown Tennis has plans for future improvements, including the addition of another multipurpose court, a new sunshade, renovated bathrooms, and a pro-shop. These enhancements are scheduled for completion in 2024/25.

Camperdown Tennis is operated in partnership with Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL, a long-standing community organisation. Together, they offer a space for locals to gather, belong, and participate in a wide range of sports and activities. Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL has been serving the community since 1947 and continues to evolve alongside the needs of its members.

Other establishments within the communal neighbourhood include Camperdown Commons, Anytime Fitness Hurlstone Park, CMNL Academy (RTO 6871), Magpie Sports Club, Bargo Sports Club, and Marrickville RSL Club. These collective venues form part of the CMNL group brand, which aims to create great experiences across all its locations.
