Founded in 1922, CAC has a rich history, with certain sections of the club dating back to the 19th century. The club comprises five sections, namely Bowls, Cricket, Hockey, Rugby Union, and Tennis. Each section has its own dedicated facilities and teams, catering to people of all ages and abilities. The Cardiff Bowls Club offers both indoor and outdoor bowling opportunities. The indoor season runs from mid-September to mid-April, with leagues for both men and women. There is also an evening league and a mixed league on Sunday evenings. The club has a proud history, with three of its members having served as President of the Welsh Indoor Bowls Association.

Cardiff Cricket Club, as the oldest cricket club in South Wales, is a prominent name in the cricketing community. With four senior teams and a thriving junior section, the club provides ample opportunities for cricket enthusiasts of all ages. Cardiff Hockey Club is based at the National Hockey Centre, conveniently located near the city centre and Cardiff Metropolitan University. The club also has close ties with British Universities & Colleges Sports (BUCS), offering opportunities for student athletes to represent the club.

Cardiff Rugby Club, under the umbrella of the Cardiff Blues region, is dedicated to nurturing rugby talent. The club has produced numerous British Lions and Welsh internationals, along with several players who have gone on to play at the regional level. Cardiff RFC is committed to developing players and helping them reach their highest potential in the sport.

Lisvane Tennis Club, located near Lisvane and Thornhill Railway Station, offers a fantastic setting for tennis enthusiasts. The club boasts five all-weather, floodlit courts and a magnificent two-story clubhouse with a viewing balcony. With a comprehensive coaching programme catering to all ages and levels, the club provides opportunities for both competitive and social play. Teams from the club also participate in local leagues, offering a chance for members to showcase their skills.
