Located in the vibrant city of Cambridge, CARISMA is a renowned martial arts school that offers a range of disciplines including kickboxing, multicombat, and self-defence. With a dedicated team of experienced instructors, CARISMA provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals of all skill levels to learn and train.
At CARISMA, the philosophy is centred around the belief that martial arts take time to master and achieve proficiency. As a result, the school offers a structured beginners course that provides a solid foundation for newcomers to the world of martial arts. The next beginners course is scheduled to start on Thursday 18 January 2024, running for four consecutive Thursday and Tuesday classes.
To ensure readiness and proper planning, CARISMA encourages prospective students to pre-register their interest by confidentially leaving their names in a form provided on the website. It is important for beginners to commit to attending the entire course with the intention of continuing training with CARISMA thereafter. Individuals with previous martial arts experience are not required to wait for the beginners course and can join at any time.
CARISMA understands the importance of transparency when it comes to fees and pricing. Detailed information can be found on their website, allowing potential students to make informed decisions regarding their martial arts journey. Students should also be aware that Kelsey Kerridge, the venue for CARISMA, charges a day entry fee for non-members.
During breaks and holidays, CARISMA takes the opportunity to inform their members in advance of any schedule changes. The school values the festive season, wishing all members and their loved ones a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Lessons are temporarily suspended between the specified dates, and the first session for the new year will resume on Tuesday 2 January at Kelsey Kerridge.
CARISMA also organises special events for its members, such as the CARISMA Cup – Friendly Fight. Open to all members of CARISMA, ARUKBC, and CUKBS, this event allows participants to showcase their skills in a safe and informal setting. Each fight is pre-matched based on gender, weight, and experience, ensuring a fair competition. The fights follow Wako international weight categories and Kickboxing Light Continuous rules, with each fighter engaging in a three-round bout.
Beginners have one-minute rounds, intermediate participants have 1. 5 minutes, and advanced fighters have two minutes.
CARISMA looks forward to members from all participating clubs to embrace this unique opportunity for growth and camaraderie. Interested individuals are encouraged to fill out an application form before the deadline, taking note of the rules and regulations, as well as the required kit and uniform.
CARISMA invites individuals to embark on a martial arts journey that not only enhances physical fitness but also cultivates discipline, focus, and self-confidence. With a commitment to excellence and a supportive community, CARISMA serves as the premier martial arts school in Cambridge to empower individuals to reach their fullest potential.
