Welcome to Carno Bowling Club, located in Caersws, New Zealand. With a membership of approximately 40 dedicated bowlers, we are active participants in numerous local competitions for both men and women. Our primary goal is to introduce the game of bowls to individuals of all ages and skill levels.
At Carno Bowling Club, we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or a complete beginner, we invite you to join us on any Monday evening for a free “taster” session. During these sessions, we offer club bowls of various sizes that can be borrowed at no cost. Our experienced coaches and bowlers will be more than happy to guide you through the basics of the game and help you develop your skills.
In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, our club was unable to participate in any play during 2020. However, we did manage to hold club competitions in 2021. This year, we are excited to announce that a full schedule of County and Club competitions will be taking place, providing ample opportunities for our members to showcase their talent and compete against other clubs.
If you're considering joining Carno Bowling Club, we have a special offer available for newcomers. Individuals who have never played before are eligible for a 50% discount on their first-year membership. In addition to our regular competitions, we also organise social events and fundraisers throughout the year. For instance, our members recently completed a sponsored walk around Nant-yr-Arian, Ponterwyd, and raised a remarkable sum of 800 for the Chemotherapy Unit at Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth. We are immensely proud of our members' efforts and the generosity of our community in supporting such a worthy cause.
