The Castor Arena, also known as the Beaverdome, has been a central part of the Castor community since it was first built in 1961. After tragically burning down in 1966, the arena was rebuilt in 1967 with the support of the community through donations and volunteer work. Today, the Castor Arena is a bustling hub of activity during the winter months, hosting after-school shinny, skating sessions, practices, hockey schools, and weekend games with packed stands.
