The “Centre Stage School of Dance and Performing Arts” is a leading and award-winning dance school located in Poole, Dorset. Founded in 2011 by Miss Zo Mather, the school's Principal, Centre Stage aims to provide the highest quality training in dance, singing, and acting.
Miss Zo, a classically trained dancer, obtained her qualifications from the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance in London, where she became a Registered Teacher. Additionally, she holds a First Class BA (Honours) Degree and is a registered teacher of The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and a Certified Teacher with Acrobatic Arts. With sixteen years of teaching experience, Miss Zo has worked with students of all ages and abilities, both in the Private and Public sector.
As a respected RAD and ISTD Teacher, Miss Zo has successfully prepared students for professional examinations, resulting in excellent pass rates and students being accepted into the Junior and Mid-Associate Royal Ballet programmes. Additionally, she has developed personalised 1-2-1 Training Programmes for students aspiring to audition for top London Colleges. Many of her past students have been accepted into prestigious performing arts colleges such as Laine Theatre Arts, Bird College, Bodyworks, and Arts Ed.
In addition to her teaching work, Miss Zo has mentored teachers at local independent schools, offering guidance for examination preparation and student observation. She has also been involved in the expansion of dance departments at highly respected Musical Theatre Schools as the Head of Dance. Her choreographic talents have taken her to various locations, including London, where she has collaborated with directors to stage performances in renowned theatres.
