Welcome to Chesterfield Skatepark, built by Freestyle in 2009. Located in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, this large all-concrete skatepark offers a diverse range of street and transition elements. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced skater, Chesterfield Skatepark has something for everyone.
One of the standout features of Chesterfield Skatepark is the rectangular open-sided bowl, which also acts as a mini ramp. The open sides of the bowl are bowled, allowing riders to pump over them as they enter the rest of the skatepark. Adjacent to the bowl is a spacious flat-bottomed area surrounded by a curved flat bank.
On the opposite side of the park, there is a flat bank with two hubbas leading up to a rail between them. Additionally, there is a pump bump that leads to a large taco. The smooth surfaces and unique layout of Chesterfield Skatepark provide plenty of options for skaters to explore and create their own lines.
Chesterfield Skatepark is easily accessible and a great place to spend time with friends. Whether you're looking to practise tricks, improve your skills, or simply have fun, this park offers ample opportunities to do so. The opening times are subject to change, so it's best to check before heading over.
To reach Chesterfield Skatepark, you can take various routes depending on your starting point. If you're coming from Chesterfield train station, exit onto Crow Lane and head south until you reach Coronation Street. Follow this road until it ends, then turn left onto St. Mary's Gate.
Continue along this road until you see Beetwell Street on your right. Take this road until it meets South Place, and then follow it until it intersects with Markham Road. Walk along Markham Road until you reach Park Road, where you'll turn south and take the first right onto New Street. Follow New Street until you reach the end, and Chesterfield Skatepark will be within sight.
If you're arriving by bus and alighting at Ravenside Retail Park bus stop, exit the bus onto Park Road and head south. Look out for New Street on your left, take this road and continue until you reach the end where the skatepark will be visible.
Chesterfield Skatepark is located in proximity to amenities. While there are no on-site toilets, there are facilities available in the nearby retail park for public use.
