Sarah, our organiser at Chester Sub Aqua Club, just wanted to drop a quick note to the sports community here. Chester Sub Aqua Club, nestled right in the heart of Chester, is well-known for its friendly vibe. They meet up every Wednesday at the Chester City Baths at 7PM.
The club's connected with the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) and sticks to their SCUBA diving training schedule. There are plenty of qualified instructors ready to help members hone their skills through various BSAC training programmes, from Ocean Diver up to Advanced Diver.
The club aims to dive as often as possible, scheduling weekend trips year-round, weather allowing. If the sea’s being tricky, they use sheltered water quarries for reliable diving. Chester Sub Aqua Club also arranges numerous UK dive trips annually, covering spots from the Isles of Scilly to Shetland, plus some international adventures.
For those curious about scuba diving or wanting to dive back in, the club offers Try Dives. This intro session is held in the pool with a BSAC Instructor who will guide you through basic diving skills and equipment in a secure setting. A Try Dive costs £25 and lasts about 90 minutes. All scuba gear is provided.
Membership is open to anyone 12 and over, whether you’re new to diving or an experienced diver from other agencies like PADI or SSI. Joining is a great way to develop your diving skills and explore fantastic dive sites.
