The Chetwynd & Area Recreation Centre operates under an Operations Agreement by the District of Chetwynd, ensuring that the facilities are managed in accordance with the mandate set by the Civic Properties Commission. This volunteer-led group, consisting of elected officials from the Peace River Regional District and the District of Chetwynd, oversees the operations of the complex to ensure that it aligns with the community's needs.
The centre's mission is to work collaboratively with the community to provide top-quality recreation programs and services to the residents of Chetwynd and the surrounding area.
