It is a holistic practise that integrates stretching and mobilising the body and joints, breathing techniques, slow movement exercises, static postures, special walking methods, and meditation. By building up the body's vital energy, Chi Kung establishes physiological and psychological harmony. The theory behind Chi Kung is rooted in Chinese Medicine, Taoist and Buddhist philosophies, and practises.
At Chi Kung, the focus is on simplicity and intentionality. The movements are simple yet purposeful, aiming to move Chi in specific ways. Inspired by the movement of animals and nature, the movements can appear graceful and beautiful. They may follow energy channels in the body or orient around internal organs and body parts.
