Founded in 1985, Chingford Karate Club is a martial arts school located in London, dedicated to providing the best in Shotokan Karate. With 39 years of excellence in the field, the club offers a wide range of classes seven days a week for individuals of all ages and skill levels. They have multiple clubs in various locations including North East London, Walthamstow, Chingford, Enfield, Hendon, Harlow, Barnet, Wanstead, Leyton, Woodford, Waltham Abbey, Epping, and Albany Karate Club in Enfield Highway.
The club prides itself on its inclusivity and offers classes specifically tailored for beginners, intermediate students, and advanced black and brown belt students and instructors. Prospective members are invited to attend a class to observe and learn more about the training programme. Chief instructor Sensei Rod Butler, with over 45 years of experience in Shotokan Karate, leads Chingford Karate Club. Sensei Butler trained under the guidance of Sensei Enoeda at the Marshall St Dojo in London's West End. He achieved his 4th Dan KUGB JKA under Sensei Enoeda in May 1999. Sensei Enoeda, a highly respected figure in the karate community, was the Chief Instructor of the KUGB and JKA.
