The course presents a fair but demanding challenge for golfers of all levels and experience. It is well-drained, so it is rarely closed, and there is usually no queue on the first tee. The club also boasts a modern and comfortable clubhouse with changing facilities, bar, and catering services. The lounge, bar, and dining room are available for hire, providing a fantastic venue for functions and events.
Conveniently located just a five-minute drive from junction 18 of the M25 and 200 yards from Chorleywood Station, the club is easily accessible for both members and visitors. Speaking of membership, Chorleywood Golf Club currently offers an incredible membership offer of 499 for unlimited golf in your first year.
The club has a rich history, with notable events and experiences throughout the years. During World War 1, the Common was used by the Bombing School for practise, and after the war, the 7th fairway was cleared of 150 live grenades. In World War 2, the clubhouse served as an emergency first aid post for the local ARP unit, enduring bombings on the course.
To mark the club's centenary in 1990, a new clubhouse was opened, reflecting the club's commitment to providing a modern and comfortable environment for its members and visitors.
