Looking for a place to dive into gymnastics? Check out City of Stoke Gymnastics Centre in Stoke-on-Trent, where Sarah and her team offer top-notch training for everyone, no matter your age or skill level. They focus on making gymnastics fun and helping you improve in a supportive environment.
Sarah offers recreational classes that teach the basics of gymnastics through a mix of fun and challenging activities. As you progress, you can earn badges to track your growth and even participate in an in-house competition to show off your skills and celebrate your progress.
For those showing extra talent and dedication, Sarah’s team has special development and competitive groups. Entry is by invitation, based on how well you've done in training. The same coaches who lead the recreational classes also train these groups, ensuring you'll have a smooth transition if selected. You'll get to trial for these groups, which might involve more training and different fees. British Gymnastics membership is required for these higher-level programmes.
Safety and expert guidance are priorities for Sarah. The coaches are qualified members of British Gymnastics and hold up-to-date DBS checks and first aid training. From the moment you step in, you’re in good hands.
For training, kids should wear tight-fitting clothes like shorts or leggings and a t-shirt. Bare feet are preferable, although socks are allowed. Long hair should be tied up, and no jewellery is permitted during sessions, except for newly pierced ears, which can be taped. Leotards are optional. Remember to bring water to stay hydrated; juice and fizzy drinks aren't allowed during sessions.
