Claire Linnell Yoga is a Yoga instructor located in Beaconsfield, South Buckinghamshire. Claire is a Registered Yoga Teacher with a strong passion for helping individuals find balance in their lives through Yoga practise. She offers both group and private classes, with a focus on Vinyasa Flow Yoga.
Claire first discovered yoga while managing a stressful corporate career and raising two young children. After ten years of dedicated practise, she can confidently say that yoga has transformed her life. She now feels stronger and more flexible in her body, and more aware and connected to her body and mind. Yoga has taught her the importance of slowing down and living in the present moment, fostering self-compassion and gratitude.
Eager to share these transformative benefits with others, Claire is dedicated to providing a space for individuals to move their bodies in new ways and reconnect.
Group classes offered by Claire are held in spacious local halls in Beaconsfield. These classes are suitable for all levels and abilities, as Claire provides modifications throughout the class to accommodate different levels. Her teaching style focuses on Vinyasa Flow Yoga, which emphasises fluid movement and the synchronisation of movement with breath. Claire's classes are intelligently sequenced to promote functional movement patterns, thereby helping individuals break free from their habitual movement patterns and cultivate a balance of strength and flexibility in their bodies.
While challenging participants physically, Claire also encourages the use of present-moment awareness to cultivate a sense of mental calm.
Claire's passion for yoga extends beyond group classes. She also offers private classes, allowing individuals to receive personalised instruction and guidance. Her teaching philosophy is centred on the idea that each person's practise should be unique to their body. Recognising that everyone has different body structures and tissue elasticity, Claire encourages individuals to adjust poses as necessary, using props for support when needed.
She believes in the practise of “Pratyahara,” drawing away from the external world and turning inward to pay attention to the body and breath. This allows individuals to give their bodies what they require in each moment of their practise.
Claire's dedication to her craft is evident in her commitment to continuing education. She has trained with renowned teachers such as Jason Crandell, Tashi Dawa, and Celeste Pereira. She is constantly seeking opportunities to deepen her knowledge, particularly in the areas of anatomy and biomechanics. Claire has completed several enlightening training courses, including Modules I and II of Jason Crandell's Advanced Teacher Training.
She has also undergone training in “Mastering the Art of Yoga Sequencing” and “Managing and Preventing Injuries in Yoga”. Through these courses, Claire has gained a deeper understanding of the impact of our Western way of life on the physical body and is dedicated to helping individuals find balance and prevent injuries through her teaching.
Overall, Claire Linnell Yoga provides a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals to explore their yoga practise. Whether in a group setting or through private classes, Claire's goal is to help individuals take time for themselves, reconnect with their bodies and minds, and become the healthiest versions of themselves.
