Claresholm Arena

4th Mondays at 7pm, except for July, August & December, in which typically only one meeting is held. When the meeting date falls on a holiday, the meeting will be on Tuesday. A schedule of meeting dates is available on the town's website. Residents can address any issues they have at the Town Council level by submitting a letter to the Town Office by the Thursday prior to the next Council meeting.

The Claresholm Arena, located at 4918 2nd Street East, is a hub of sports activity in the community. The arena first opened its doors in 1982 and underwent renovations in 2018 with support from the community to replace the Arena Floor and rink boards. It serves as the home of Claresholm Minor Hockey, Claresholm Skating Club, Rockmen Lacrosse, and hosts the Annual Bench Show held over Claresholm Fair days in the second week of August.

The arena offers public skating sessions, which can be reserved online or viewed on their Google Calendar. Situated just one block east of the lights off Highway #2, the Claresholm Arena is easily accessible for both residents and visitors. With a seating capacity for spectators, the arena provides a lively atmosphere for a variety of sports events and competitions.

In addition to the arena, Claresholm offers a range of recreational facilities for residents to enjoy, including the aquatic centre, spray park, parks and walking paths, skate park, and Agriplex. The Bridges at Claresholm Golf Course, located at 349 49 Ave West, is a hidden gem in Southern Alberta, offering a picturesque setting for a round of golf. The back nine, designed by Les Furber, features water hazards on 12 of the 18 holes, providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels.
