The Sunshine Coast Conservatory of Dance is thrilled to offer Classical Ballet classes registered with the esteemed Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). As one of the most reputable dance education and training organisations worldwide, RAD provides a solid foundation for dancers looking to pursue their passion.
Led by our experienced and qualified teachers, our club follows the latest RAD dance syllabus, which is taught to a staggering 250,000 students across 82 countries. This comprehensive syllabus encompasses classical, free movement (lyrical), and character (National) styles, offering students a unique opportunity to explore and develop their dance skills in an engaging and enjoyable way.
For those looking for a challenge, we also offer examinations for students starting from the Primary level and above. These examinations, usually held in mid to late July, provide a platform for students to showcase their hard work and dedication. To qualify for the exam, participants must attend a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week, take part in a 5-day workshop during the June/July school holidays, and attend 3 additional Saturday lessons before the exam date. It's important to note that attendance in all classes and workshops is mandatory for exam participation.
We highly recommend taking part in these exams, as they not only build confidence but also help in achieving personal goals and refining ballet technique. Successful candidates receive individual certificates and reports, recognising their dedication and accomplishments.
