Welcome to Cliffe Bowls Club, a friendly sports club located in the quiet village of Cliffe near Rochester, Kent. Established in 1951, the club boasts a membership of approximately 60 male and female players of all ages and bowling abilities. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or just starting out, Cliffe Bowls Club offers the perfect environment to learn and play bowls.
During summer, we bowl outdoors on our well-maintained green. Weather permitting, we have roll-ups every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00 am from late April through to September. Simply turn up by 10:00 am with your flat-soled shoes and join in the fun. It's a great way to socialise and improve your bowling skills.
In winter, we move indoors to Deangate for bowling sessions. We also participate in various external competitions, including the Triples League, Four's RACS League, Top Club, and National Two Fours. These competitions provide opportunities for both social and competitive bowlers to showcase their skills.
Additionally, we have a selection of internal competitions for our members, including singles for both men and women, pairs for men, women, and mixed teams, and triples. We also have a unique format called “100 up” that adds excitement and variety to our games.
Cliffe Bowls Club is more than just a sports club. We pride ourselves on our strong sense of community and camaraderie. Our members enjoy socialising and forging lasting friendships both on and off the green. We regularly organise social events and activities to foster a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere for everyone.
