The “Club De Peche Lac Anais” is a fishing club located in Saint-Michel-du-Squatec, dedicated to the sport of trout fishing. The club is situated on the beautiful Lac Anais, a perfect spot for enjoying nature and fishing for speckled trout. Managed by the non-profit organization Association des Amis de la Fort du Lac Anais Inc. , the club has been a public fishing destination since 1988, offering a unique and authentic fishing experience for almost 35 years.
The club features a cozy log cabin built in 1929 by the then priest, Mgr. Cyr, which serves as accommodation for visitors. The historic chalet adds charm to the overall experience of staying at the club and immersing oneself in nature. The club offers boat rentals for fishing excursions on the 2 km lake, providing all the necessary amenities for a successful fishing trip.
In addition to fishing, the club also offers accommodation for up to 6 people in the rustic log cabin, equipped with solar-powered lighting and a wood stove. Guests are advised to bring personal hygiene items, towels, and sleeping bags, as well as their own drinking water, as the water on-site is not potable.
The club operates during specific hours, with reservation available from 8 am to 7 pm daily. Prices for fishing permits vary depending on the season, with special rates for children under 18 years old.
