About

The Clyde Arrows Archery Club! We are an archery club located in Glasgow, New Zealand, and we are excited to share our passion for archery with the local community.

At Clyde Arrows Archery Club, we aim to provide a friendly and sociable environment for both beginners and experienced archers. As a non-profit, volunteer-led Community Amateur Sports Club, our main goal is to promote the discipline of archery and offer an inclusive space where people can learn and develop their skills.

Our club is home to both Recurve and Compound archery, and we have a dedicated committee that oversees the club's operations. Led by our President, Robert Whitney, our committee is dedicated to ensuring the smooth running of the club and supporting our members in their archery journey.

To maintain a transparent and organised club structure, we have a constitution in place. This constitution outlines the functions of the club, as well as the procedures for members, meetings, and committees. By having a constitution, we ensure that everyone understands how the club operates and can participate in its activities effectively.

We pride ourselves in offering comprehensive archery courses for beginners. Our Introduction to Archery course spans over five days, allowing participants to gain a thorough understanding of the sport. With ten hours of coaching and shooting time, participants can expect to receive expert guidance from our UK archery instructors. The cost of the course, which includes equipment hire, is very reasonable, making it accessible to all.

Please note that the minimum age for beginners and taster sessions is 10 years old.

If you are interested in taking up archery, we encourage you to join our introductory course. It is the best way to get hands-on experience and learn the proper techniques of shooting a recurve bow. Simply click the button below to register your interest. Although our courses are fully booked for the year, we are still accepting enquiries for 2023.

Clyde Arrows Archery Club operates from the Auchengillan Outdoor Centre in Blanefield, offering a picturesque and convenient location for our members. We have scheduled club hours on Sundays from 14:00 – 17:00, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:00 – 21:00. Please note that club hours are subject to change, so it's always a good idea to check our social media platforms for any updates.

If you have any questions or would like to get in touch with us, please feel free to fill out our contact form on our website. Whether you want to register for a taster lesson, inquire about our beginners course, or have a general enquiry, we are more than happy to assist you. You can also find us on Facebook for regular updates and announcements.

We value the feedback and support from our members and visitors, and we would like to express our gratitude for their kind testimonials. These testimonials highlight the positive experiences and community spirit that Clyde Arrows Archery Club offers.

Thank you for considering Clyde Arrows Archery Club as your archery destination. We look forward to welcoming you and helping you discover the joy and excitement of this incredible sport.
