Coastal Riding is open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm, and Saturdays by appointment. We accept cash and bank transfers for your convenience, but apologise for not accepting credit cards. Don't forget, we also offer gift vouchers, so you can share the joy of horseback riding with your loved ones.

Please note that public transport is not available to our location, so you will need to arrive by car.
Coastal Riding is run by Carol, who has a lifetime of experience with horses. She has previously run a riding school and horse treks in the South Island, and has competed in various disciplines. Mandy, a part-time assistant, also has an impressive equine background. With Carol and Mandy as your guides, you can expect a safe, fun, and educational riding experience.
Here at Coastal Riding, we have a wonderful team of horses ready to take you on an unforgettable adventure. From Liam, the calm and collected Arab/Warmblood, to Fern, our star Morgan/NZ Stationbred, each horse has their own unique personality and attributes. We even have Rosie, a young Kaimanawa Foal who is now nearly two and always a hit with visitors.
