Colne Yacht Club

Built on a rich history of over 150 years, Colne Yacht Club in Brightlingsea is one of the oldest established East Coast clubs. Its picturesque location on the waterfront allows for stunning views of the harbour and estuary, making it an ideal spot for local and long-distance sailing.

The Colne Yacht Club takes pride in inspiring future generations to get afloat and offers a diverse range of activities to cater to all levels of skills and types of boats. As a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Training Centre, the club provides both Keel Boat and Power Boat Training to its members.

Sailing enthusiasts can participate in various sailing programmes, including the Foxer Fleet, four Sonatas (owned by the club), Brightlingsea One Design, and Cruiser Fleets. Additionally, the club runs specialist groups like Women on the Water, Blokes in Boats, Paddleboards, and Sonata Graduates, along with its well-established Cadet Section.
