Commando Health and Fitness, located in Plymouth, is a comprehensive health and fitness centre run by Andrew, a highly experienced Sports Massage Therapist, Boot Camp Trainer, Personal Trainer, and Sports Injury specialist. With 15 years of experience in the fitness industry, Andrew has honed his skills and expertise to provide top-quality services to his clients.

Andrew's journey in the fitness industry began as a fitness instructor, but his passion for health and fitness led him to join the Royal Marines, where he became a Physical Training instructor. During his time in the Marines, Andrew further developed his skills as a Personal Trainer and Coach. After leaving the Marines, Andrew pursued his passion for Sports Therapy and became a certified Sports Therapist with the Society of Sports Therapists. He then took specialised courses, focusing on working with runners and running injuries, as he himself is a keen runner and triathlete.

At Commando Health and Fitness, Andrew offers a range of services to help clients achieve their health and wellbeing goals. One of his signature offerings is the RunSmart clinics, which have become the backbone of his Plymouth-based clinics. These clinics are designed to help local runners improve their speed, efficiency, and prevent running injuries. Andrew's approach to running is unique and aims to completely rebuild and reshape clients' approach to running.

In addition to in-person training, Andrew has also adapted to the recent pandemic by moving into more online programming for his Run and Multi-sport athletes. Clients have the option of fully online or mixed programming, where they come in for monthly strength sessions and sports massage, while conducting the majority of their training independently. Andrew provides full virtual support via Zoom, ensuring clients have access to guidance and assistance throughout their training journey.

Another exciting aspect of Commando Health and Fitness is the Fitness Retreats. Andrew wanted to create an opportunity for his clients and fitness enthusiasts to participate in focused sessions over a weekend, allowing them to work intensively on their technique and abilities in a close-knit group of like-minded individuals. These Fitness Retreats take place at the beautiful Fursdon Farm in East Cornwall, providing a serene and picturesque environment for the retreat participants.

In addition to the various training services, Commando Health and Fitness also offers Sports Therapy to help clients recover from injuries and get back to full strength. Andrew's expertise in Sports Therapy allows him to provide targeted treatments and rehabilitation programmes tailored to each individual's needs.
