Jungle Cats is the place to be for anyone interested in cheerleading. Based in Melbourne, Jungle Cats offers a range of competitive and non-competitive (recreational) cheerleading classes that cater to all skill levels.
Whether you're a seasoned cheerleader or a first-timer, there is a class for you at Jungle Cats. In fact, 75% of our Level 1 Cheer teams consist of first-year students who are still highly competitive on stage. Don't let lack of experience hold you back from joining a competition team!
At Jungle Cats, all our students, whether in competition or recreational classes, learn the same skills and have the opportunity to perform in our End of Year Showcase. The main difference lies in the chance to compete against thousands of other cheerleaders and experience the thrill, challenge, and incredible sense of accomplishment that comes with competitive events.
If you're interested in competitive cheerleading, Jungle Cats welcomes you to come and see what it's all about. Before joining a team, all competitive cheerleaders undergo an assessment to ensure they are placed in an appropriate age group and level.
For the upcoming 2022 season, Jungle Cats has exciting cheerleading teams lined up. We have the BOBCATS Youth Level 1 for beginners aged 6–12 years, the PANTHERS Senior Level 2 for intermediate cheerleaders aged 10–18 years, the WHITE TIGERS Senior Coed Level 3 for intermediate cheerleaders aged 10–18 years, and the QUEEN CATS Open Level 3 for 14-year-old semi-competitive cheerleaders.
If you're keen on joining a competitive team, contact Jungle Cats to arrange a free trial. The 2022 competition season is just around the corner, so now is the perfect time to get involved!
However, if you prefer a more relaxed approach to cheerleading, our recreational cheerleading classes offer a fantastic way to stay fit and have fun. Both recreational and competitive classes learn the same set of skills, but recreational students have the flexibility to work at their own pace and focus on perfecting new skills.
Recreational classes at Jungle Cats include warm-up exercises, tumbling, stunting, conditioning, and even a touch of dance as we get closer to our annual end-of-year concert. It's a great opportunity to challenge yourself physically and mentally while enjoying the camaraderie and support of our cheerleading community.
No matter which path you choose, one thing is for sure – all Jungle Cats students will have the chance to participate in the end-of-year concert and showcase the skills they have learned throughout the year.
So, if you're ready to take on the world of cheerleading, whether in a competitive or recreational capacity, don't hesitate to contact Jungle Cats for a free trial or more information. We can't wait to see you on the mat!
