Experience. At Cooroy Uniting Church, we strive to make everyone feel welcome and at ease. Our church community has been a part of the coastal hinterland for over 100 years, and we value authentic community relationships.
We offer Sunday services at two different locations. Our Cooroy service takes place at 8am, and our Pomona service starts at 9:30am. Both services have a dedicated minister and follow the same theme. The Cooroy service is slightly more traditional, while the Pomona service has a more contemporary feel.
We also hold Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month at both locations.
On the 5th Sunday of the month, we come together for a combined service at 9am. This service alternates between the Cooroy and Pomona locations, and you can check our church calendar on our website for detailed information. We also hold a service at the Kabara Aged Care Hostel at 11am on the first Sunday of the month.
Our leadership team is made up of both lay and ordained members who have been carefully selected and endorsed by our congregation and the Mary Burnett Presbytery and Queensland Synod. We value the input and guidance of our leaders in maintaining a strong and supportive Christian community.
In addition to our worship services, we offer various activities and events for our church community and the wider community. We have a playgroup that meets on Tuesdays from 9am to 11am during the school term. This playgroup provides an opportunity for children and parents to connect and have fun.
