About
Cork Hanmi Meditation is a unique centre in Cork that focuses on ancient Esoteric teachings of Hanmi Buddhism. Founded on the principles of Living Buddha Dechan Jueren, the 49th MahaVairocana Dharma King of the Hanmi Lineage, Cork Hanmi Meditation aims to spread these teachings to the wider community.
Hanmi Dharma teachings have been passed down through generations of awakened masters in the Hanmi Chinese Esoteric School of Buddhism. Living Buddha Dechan Jueren brought these teachings to the west, making them accessible to the public for the first time. Hanmi Disciples at Cork Hanmi Meditation continue this mission of spreading these sacred teachings to students worldwide.
The centre offers various rituals and ceremonies, such as the An Tai Sui Dharma Rite, designed to extinguish spiritual obstacles and alleviate suffering. Events like the Chinese New Year 1000 Lamp Ritual and the Irish Famine Ritual provide opportunities for the community to come together in spiritual practise and reflection.
In addition to in-person gatherings, Cork Hanmi Meditation also offers online meditation classes and workshops. These sessions provide participants with tools for healing, purification, and connecting with higher spiritual realms. The centre also hosts Dharma workshops, such as the Clean Water Matters workshop, which teach practical techniques for blessing and purifying food, air, and water.
Cork Hanmi Meditation is dedicated to preserving and sharing the teachings of Hanmi Buddhism in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Through their work, they strive to bring peace, healing, and spiritual growth to all who seek it.
