Welcome to Covenham Sailing Club, located in Louth, New Zealand. Situated on Covenham Reservoir, which spans across a total of 218 acres, our club offers an idyllic setting for sailing enthusiasts. Approximately 10% of the reservoir is designated as a bird sanctuary, adding to the natural beauty of the surroundings.
At Covenham Sailing Club, we pride ourselves on our welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced sailor, everyone is encouraged to join our club. We offer a range of sailing courses and events to cater to all skill levels and interests.
Our clubhouse is a hub of activity and provides a comfortable and spacious open seating area for our members. It's the perfect place to socialise and relax after a day on the water. We have taken safety precautions in light of Covid-19, such as providing wipes on the tables in the club room and hand sanitiser in the foyer. We kindly request all members to be considerate and follow these guidelines.
One of the highlights of our club is the annual 'RYA Discover Sailing' Event, held in May or June. This event gives members of the public an opportunity to try sailing, windsurfing, or paddleboarding. It's a fantastic way to experience the thrill of being out on the water and to see if these activities might be right for you.
