About
Cove Sequence Dance Club in Farnborough is where the action happens every Friday. Running since forever, this club has around 47 members who all get together at St Mark's Church Hall from 2 PM to 4:15 PM.
Hilary and Nigel are the brains and muscle behind the scenes. They have all the qualifications and insurance you’d need, making sure everyone has a great time. They teach all sorts of modern and classical sequence dances, so whether you’re just starting out or have a few moves under your belt, there's something for you.
Friday afternoons here are packed with a mix of social, classical, Latin, and modern sequences. Hilary and Nigel keep things fresh with the latest winning dances and throw in some classic favourites like the Paso La Paz. They're all about bringing back dances from before lockdown and adding new exciting ones.
The club runs like a well-oiled machine thanks to Chairman Gordon, Secretary Hilary, and Treasurer Mike. They make sure everything's in place for a smooth session each week. Even with COVID-19 restrictions easing, they’re sticking to the latest guidelines to keep everyone safe. If you’re feeling rough or tested positive recently, it’s best to sit it out. Masks are a good shout when moving around, and they keep the place well-ventilated.
Keep an eye on their Facebook page for the latest events and updates. Plus, there's a whole community out there with the Old Time Dance Society if you want to dive deeper into the dance world.
Expect a friendly crowd, a chance to learn and improve, and a whole lot of fun at Cove Sequence Dance Club. If you’re into dance and happen to be in Farnborough, this is THE place to be.
