Craig Ewers Academy (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, MMA)

Craig Ewers Academy (CEA) is a leading martial arts school located in Cardiff, Wales. Since its establishment in 2012, CEA has been at the forefront of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) in Cardiff, offering expert coaching in BJJ, wrestling, judo, and mixed martial arts (MMA). The academy is renowned for its experienced coaching team, who are all experienced competitors in their respective disciplines, with many having competed internationally.

Head coach Craig Ewers brings over 30 years of experience in training and competing in judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He holds a 5th dan black belt in judo and a 1st degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Craig has represented the Wales national judo team and has won numerous medals at international competitions. From 2009 to 2015, he also held the position of head coach for the Welsh national judo team.

Craig is an active Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor, with recent wins at Polaris Pro and medals at NAGA Championships. Currently, he serves as the coach for UFC athlete and former Cage Warriors double champion Mason Jones.

CEA offers a variety of programmes, including Brazilian jiu-jitsu, freestyle wrestling, judo, and mixed martial arts. Additionally, they run a children's programme for Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo. The academy provides a comprehensive timetable to accommodate individuals of all levels and ages who are interested in martial arts training.

One of the assistant coaches at CEA is Josh 'Hollywood' Hudson, who holds a black belt in Judo and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Hudson has an impressive amateur MMA record of 9-4 and is the 2018 Bronze Medallist at the IMMAF European MMA Championships. He is also the current holder of the Cage Warriors Wales Welterweight Amateur title. With a deep martial arts background, Hudson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the coaching team.
