Based in Billingshurst, Crimbourne Stud is Leigh's pride and joy, known for its top-notch horse breeding, riding field, and training facilities. Leigh's goal is to create a world-class Showjumping Stud, focusing on breeding horses of the highest calibre. The place isn’t just for stabling horses; Leigh ensures every detail is taken care of so owners can easily blend their equestrian passion with a hectic work life.

Crimbourne Stud boasts an impressive breeding programme combining some of the finest showjumping bloodlines, like Codex I, Alicante, Baloubet du Rouet, Cicero Z, and Cornet Obolensky. This gives Crimbourne horses a genetic leg-up in competitions.

Specialising in breeding quality show jumpers, the Stud has decided not to stand any of its own stallions for the 2023 season. This makes it possible to access top stallions across Europe. There are plans to keep fillies for future breeding through embryo transfer and to develop them as ridden sport horses.

A standout at Crimbourne is Colliers Carlotta, a 2016 mare with Codex I and Cornet Obolensky bloodlines. She’s currently making waves nationally and internationally with Tom Whitaker. There’s also Access Code, a promising 2020 stallion with Alicante and Colliers Carlotta lineage, who’s set to return to Crimbourne in 2024 after starting his career in Germany.

Clients at Crimbourne get to enjoy some great facilities, including a 20×40 indoor floodlit arena, spacious stables with automatic drinkers, a hot water wash box, a solarium, stocks, a secure tack room, a horse walker, and post and rail paddocks with equifence. Everything is set up to give horses the best care and comfort.
