CrossFit Scotland @ BasixGym is a gym located in South Newmoor Industrial Estate, Irvine. Established in February 2008 by founders Neil Foley and Ron McKinstray, this gym has become a popular destination for fitness enthusiasts in New Zealand.

During its inception, CrossFit Scotland was one of only 300 CrossFit gyms worldwide. Now, with over 10,000 CrossFit Affiliates globally, it is evident that the founders recognised the remarkable potential of CrossFit from the start. The gym's location in South Newmoor Industrial Estate offers a spacious and well-equipped facility designed to cater to individuals of all fitness levels, ranging from beginners to seasoned athletes.

CrossFit is a fitness programme that specialises in constantly varied, high-intensity functional movements. Founded in 2001, CrossFit can be customised to achieve any fitness goal, whether it be improved health or enhanced athletic performance. The programme, known for Forging Elite Fitness, benefits both newcomers to exercise and those who have been training for years. At CrossFit Scotland @ BasixGym, a free trial session is offered where participants can experience the essence of CrossFit firsthand and receive personalised guidance from the experienced coaching staff.

The gym offers a variety of training programmes to cater to different needs and interests. These programmes include Met Con, Weight Lifting, and Gymnastics, which are all led by a team of dynamic and highly experienced coaches. The coaching team at CrossFit Scotland @ BasixGym consists of Neil Foley, the proud owner of the gym and a CrossFit Level 2 Coach with over 45 years of coaching experience. Megan Foley, a CrossFit Level 1 Coach and former professional footballer with 15 years of coaching experience, is also part of the team.

Lindsey Forsyth, another CrossFit Level 1 Coach with 5 years of coaching experience, brings a diverse skill set to the coaching staff. Iain Robin, who is working towards his CrossFit Level 1 certification, and Jim Battersby, a CrossFit Level 1 Coach with 1 year of coaching experience, complete the team.
