At Tae Kwon-Do Croydon, Master Karl James encourages politeness, kindness, and respect. His classes focus on staying committed to your goals, overcoming challenges, and developing a strong, unbreakable spirit.
Honesty and doing what’s right, both on and off the mat, are essential, as is maintaining control over actions and emotions.
Classes are held at Shirley High School in Croydon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Suitable for adults and children (ages 4+), beginners and advanced practitioners alike, instructors are ready to guide you through the curriculum.
Safety is a priority. All instructors are DBS checked, hold current HSE First Aid qualifications, and we have full public liability insurance. We’re affiliated with the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain, ensuring high standards in training and teaching.
Ongoing training programmes help students continuously improve. Fostering qualities like focus, discipline, and resilience is key.
We’re a proud member of the British TaeKwonDo Council, adhering to all BTC Safeguarding Policies and Procedures, ensuring a secure environment for young students.

Tae Kwon-Do Croydon is a martial arts club that helps you develop healthy bodies and minds, while teaching respect for yourself and others. You'll also build practical self defence skills and self confidence.
Training is available from 5 yrs upwards for male and female students of all ages, and participation is open to all. We run ongoing training programmes so you can keep developing your strengths and skills.
