CSA 07 FC is based in Newbury, Berkshire, and is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, many of whom have children playing in the club. Each volunteer holds a valid DBS accreditation, ensuring the safety and well-being of all players. Additionally, every age group has a trained coach and an Emergency First Aider present during training sessions and matches.
The club places a strong emphasis on child welfare, with a dedicated Child Welfare Officer in place and up-to-date Child Safeguarding policies and procedures. This commitment to safeguarding ensures that the club provides a secure and nurturing environment for children to develop their skills and enjoy the game.
CSA 07 FC has made significant strides in promoting girls' football and inclusivity. They recently launched a girls-only training initiative to reflect the growing interest and success of women's football. The club warmly welcomes girls of all ages to join their training sessions, which take place at Park House School every Thursday from 18:00 to 19:00. All sessions are led by accredited coaches, ensuring quality instruction and a positive learning experience.
The club also encourages sustainability and community engagement through its Boot Swap Facebook page. This platform allows parents and players to exchange boots that have been outgrown, promoting a circular economy and reducing waste.
The season for CSA 07 FC runs from late August to early May, with training and summer tournaments extending until early July. The training sessions take place on Friday nights, with varying timings and venues depending on the age group and time of year. The club aims to provide football opportunities for players of all skill levels, fostering teamwork, respect, hard work, and a lifelong love for the sport.
CSA 07 FC is fortunate to have three training bases at Park House School, St. Bartholomews School, and Trinity School, all of which provide excellent facilities. The club extends its gratitude to these schools for their ongoing support.
During the 2023/24 season, match days for CSA 07 FC take place at various venues, including Park House School, St. Bartholomew's School, Trinity School, Wash Common Park, City Recreation Ground, Boxford Recreation Ground, and Greeham Diamond. These venues provide a range of pitches to accommodate matches for different age groups.
