D-League Basketball Tournament

The D-League Basketball Tournament organized by Cootamundra Basketball Association is all about nurturing talent within the NSW Spalding Waratah Junior Leagues. It's a platform for players and coaches to showcase their skills, learn from each other, and grow in a competitive yet supportive environment.

This year, the event will be a condensed one, taking place over one weekend per age group. This tweak is aimed at making it more convenient for everyone involved, by cutting down on costs and saving time for the athletes and their families. Mark your calendars for the 2024 D-League dates: September 28-29 for the U16-18 age group at Penrith, and October 26-27 for the U14-15 age group, also at Penrith.

The age groups for the tournament include U14 Boys & Girls (born 2012), U15 Boys & Girls (born 2011), U16 Boys & Girls (born 2010), and U18 Boys & Girls (born 2009/2008). Selection for D-League is based on a range of criteria, including performance at BNSW High Performance Trials, the input of BNSW High-Performance Coaches, and past showings at BNSW events. Athletes hoping to make the cut need to showcase the essential skills and qualities sought after in a competitive environment.
