Congratulations and thank you to all the talented dancers at EK Dance Academy for their incredible efforts in the 2023 concert, “Light Up The Stage”. The feedback from parents, students, and the wider community has been overwhelmingly positive, and we couldn't be prouder of the collective work that made the concert such a success. A special congratulations to our dedicated team of choreographers for creating enjoyable routines, and of course, to our amazing performers who truly shined on stage.
Looking ahead to 2024, we wanted to inform you about the costume deposit that will be required during Term 2. A $50 deposit, along with the concert permission slip, will allow us to order costumes for our end-of-year concert. Rest assured, the deposit will be deducted from the final costume account total, and once fully paid, the costume will become the property of the dancer.
In the lead up to the concert, we have scheduled an extra rehearsal and costume information day. Dress parade will take place from Saturday 9th to Thursday 10th November 2024. Parents are invited to join us in the studio 10 minutes prior to the end of their child's classes during this week to learn how each costume should be worn. Following this, the dress rehearsal will be held on Saturday 16th November, and it's mandatory for all students to attend.
Mark your calendars for the main event! The concert will be held on Saturday 16th November and Sunday 17th November 2024 at Penrhos College, Rixon Theatre, Throssell Street, Como.
After the concert, we will have a Presentation Day and Break-Up Party, which will be held on Saturday 23rd November 2024. While classes will be suspended for the week following the concert, this event is a great way to celebrate our achievements. During the party, we will be presenting awards, concert certificates, and examination awards. Additionally, attendees will receive the 2024 concert recording and the 2025 timetable and enrolment forms. More information regarding the venue, time, and other details will be provided at a later date. The Presentation Day is an opportunity to wind down our year at EK Dance Academy and wish our dance family a joyful and safe Christmas and Festive Season.
