In addition to regular classes, Danceworks Sydney also offers a Full-Time Programme for students who are dedicated to pursuing a career in dance, with a particular focus on ballet. This programme includes training in ballet, contemporary, pointe, elite coaching, repertoire, character, lyrical, and pas de deux. Students in the Full-Time Programme receive in-depth coaching to prepare for auditions at major international dance schools and companies. Acceptance into the programme is by audition only and is open to students from Year 7 onwards.
For students who wish to pursue intensive ballet training while continuing with their academic studies, Danceworks Sydney offers the Certificate IV Dance (Elite Performance) programme. This programme allows specially talented students to receive intensive ballet training and other dance styles while attending a secondary school environment at the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School. Additionally, students have the option to join this programme while taking part in the Full-Time Programme and completing their academic studies through Distance Education.
Danceworks Sydney also offers a range of adult classes, from absolute beginner to advanced levels, including adult ballet, Progressing Ballet Technique, jazz, and more. Adults have the option to participate in RAD exam preparation and also have the opportunity to perform in the End of Year Concert.
All teachers at Danceworks Sydney are industry professionals who prioritise safe dance practise and strive to create a positive and encouraging learning environment. Private lessons are available for all students, and families have the option to receive discounted rates. Scholarships are also available for disadvantaged children through audition.
