Dan Purvis Gymnastics

Dan Purvis Gymnastics is a renowned gymnastics academy located in Southport, New Zealand. Founded in 2016 by Olympic and World medallist Dan Purvis, the academy aims to provide children aged 5 to 15 with the opportunity to get involved in gymnastics in a fun and rewarding environment.

Situated at Formby High School, our academy is a registered British Gymnastics club and offers a variety of classes that introduce children to the basics of the sport. Our experienced and enthusiastic coaches ensure that children learn in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, while also obtaining badges and certificates to mark their progress. Our ultimate goal is to instil a love for gymnastics in each and every child.

Dan Purvis himself, being an Olympic medallist, brings a deep passion and determination to the academy. With the help of his dedicated team of coaches, he is committed to sharing his expertise and providing young gymnasts in the region with top-quality classes.

Our classes run throughout Sefton schools term times, usually for a duration of 11 to 14 weeks. Children can join the classes at any time during the term, and the first session acts as a taster to determine if they wish to continue. Upon registration, we request setting up a direct debit to cover ongoing classes. Membership can be renewed for as long as desired, allowing children to continuously develop their gymnastics skills.

It is important to note that an annual membership fee to British Gymnastics is also payable. This membership, valid from October 1st to September 30th, offers several benefits including full accident insurance for your child.

To make a booking enquiry, interested parties can visit our website and access the booking form. However, due to the high demand, our classes often have substantial waiting lists. We accommodate classes on Thursdays and Fridays at 5:00pm, 6:00pm, and 7:00 pm, as well as Saturdays at 9:00am, 10:00am, and 11:00am. Waiting times may vary depending on the applicant's age and experience.
