For those new to SCUBA diving, Dearne Valley Divers offers a comprehensive BSAC training programme. From beginners to experienced divers, individuals can progress through a framework of qualifications at their own pace. After pool work on Mondays, divers gather at The Glasshouse, Sandygate, for a chat and further camaraderie.

For those interested in trying SCUBA diving for the first time, Dearne Valley Divers offers try-dive sessions for first-timers. These sessions take place at regular Monday evening pool meetings at Dearneside Leisure Centre. For a fee of 20, individuals can experience the thrill of breathing underwater and have lots of fun in a safe and controlled environment. Please note that the minimum age requirement is 12 years old.

Dearne Valley Divers is also an ideal club for individuals who have recently qualified as a PADI Open Water diver or PADI Advanced Open Water diver. Joining the BSAC club allows divers to maintain and develop their SCUBA diving skills while being a part of a supportive and inclusive community.
