The programme is led by Helen Stott, a certified Pilates instructor with a passion for sharing the benefits of Pilates with people of all ages and abilities.
Helen was first introduced to Pilates in 2008 and quickly recognised the numerous benefits it offers. She underwent extensive training with Body Control Pilates in London, completing the 'Level 3 Matwork' teacher training course and receiving full certification. Additionally, she holds a First Aid at Work SCQF Level 6 qualification to ensure the safety and well-being of her clients.
At Delfield Pilates, Helen's classes are limited to 12 people, allowing her to provide individual attention and guidance to each client. Mats and equipment are provided, making it easy for participants to get started.
Helen's classes focus on training the mind and body together. Through consistent practise, participants will experience increased flexibility, stamina, and muscle lengthening. This low-impact form of exercise is recognised by health professionals as one of the safest options available.
Helen's qualifications include Intermediate and Advanced Matwork, as well as a Diploma in Instructing Matwork. She has also completed additional training courses such as Body Control Intermediate Matwork, Advanced Matwork, and Foam Roller. Additionally, Helen is trained in Pre and Post Natal Pilates, enabling her to work with pregnant women to ensure their comfort and health throughout pregnancy.
In her pursuit of continuous learning and professional development, Helen regularly attends workshops and training courses. She has participated in workshops led by renowned international Pilates teachers such as Anula Maiberg, Kathy Corey, and Paul Howse, to name a few. Helen has also attended an International Pilates Heritage Congress in Joseph Pilates' hometown.
Delfield Pilates also offers a specialised programme for golfers, aimed at improving performance and reducing the risk of injury. This programme is designed to enhance the quality, range, and efficiency of golfers' movements.
