The Derby Athletic Club is excited to host the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire County Track and Field Championships at Moorways Stadium on May 11th and 12th, 2024. It's going to be a great opportunity for athletes of all ages, from U13 to Masters, to showcase their skills in various track and field events.
For the young ones, there will be a Quadkids competition designed specifically for U11 athletes. They can take part in the 75m, 600m, howler javelin, and long jump disciplines. It's a fantastic way to introduce them to the world of athletics and encourage their passion for the sport.
Athletes competing in the Championships should remember to register at the Derby AC clubhouse at least 60 minutes before their event start time on both days if they plan on participating in both days. Field athletes also need to report to the competition area 30 minutes before their scheduled event to ensure everything runs smoothly.
To join the fun, athletes need to pay an entry fee of £8 for the first event and £5 for each additional event. Registration can be done online through SportSoft Results, so be sure to secure your spot before the deadline on April 19, 2024.
